In the immediate village there are two mini - markets (for the basic commodities) and three principal bar/restaurants which serve good quality and very reasonably priced fare - all have outside dining areas. The most formal (it has a menu) restaurante is Flor de Fontela about 15 minutes walk from the house.
The village has a cash point and an afternoon post office. There is a clay tennis court and five – a- side football pitch. The river Coura famous for its delicious trout flows through the village.
