Hi and welcome to our site. We hope that these few pages will give you some idea of where we are and what this fantastic part of Portugal has to offer. Nestling in the Covas valley surrounded by mountains with the Serra d’Arga range (rising to as much as 825 meters) due south, the Retreat is a fantastic place in which to relax - in a traditional unspoilt environment - after a long days walk. With an outside dining area you can rest your tired legs whilst enjoying a glass of the local wine and luxuriating in an almost total absence of noise. As well as our traditional self catering barn accommodation we have available a twin and a double room both with en-suite facilities and independent access. These rooms can be let on a B+B basis, as extra accommodation for parties of greater than 2 who wish to rent the barn or as a base for further exploring this beautiful unspoiled region.
